PROMINENT BLACK MORMONS PDF  | Print |  E-mail

By Frances Rice

Democrats consistently push the false narrative that Mormons are racist, while ignoring the existence of black Mormons.  Then, hypocritically, Democrats demean black Mormons who step into the spotlight.  Witness how Democrats trashed Mia Love, the mayor of Saratoga Springs, Utah, and the Republican Party nominee for the United States House of Representatives in Utah's 4th congressional district.  An article that describes the despicable treatment of Mayor Love is “Hate-Filled Screeds Appear on Mia Love’s Wikipedia Page” by Patrick Hobin.

Another article is “Sick: Wikipedia entry calls Mia Love ‘dirty, worthless whore’ and ‘House Nigger’”

DEBATE DEBACLE – SYMBOL OF OBAMA'S FAILED PRESIDENCY PDF  | Print |  E-mail

By Frances Rice

Being a genius is not required to conclude that President Barack Obama’s debate performance was an utter disaster.  Americans witnessed on full display the weak president who produced the worst economic recovery in our nation’s history.

The article “Why the Country Is Unhappy Under Obama” by Mort Zuckerman provides the gory details about Obama’s failed presidency, including the heart-breaking fact that the real unemployment rate is a stunning 15 percent, based on the Bureau of Labor Statistics U-6 measurement, which includes people working part-time.

As the old saying goes, one picture is worth a thousand words.  The cartoon on the cover of the upcoming October 15th issue of The New Yorker magazine says it all, depicting Gov. Mitt Romney debating an empty chair.

Clint Eastwood was right.

NBRA SHARES RYAN’S VISION OF AMERICA – FREEDOM AND PROSPERTY PDF  | Print |  E-mail

We, in the National Black Republican Association, support the brilliant choice of Rep. Paul Ryan as the vice presidential running mate for Gov. Mitt Romney.

Together, Romney and Ryan, as America’s Comeback Team, will restore our American exceptionalism anchored on our Republican values of faith, family and free enterprise that have made us the most prosperous nation on earth.

In his first speech as the vice presidential candidate, Ryan reaffirmed that our rights come from God, not the government.  These poignant words are rooted in our Constitution that guarantees us life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness.  With clarity and conviction Ryan also said:  “We won’t duck the tough issues . . . we will lead!  We won’t blame others
we will take responsibility!  We won’t replace our founding principles . . . we will reapply them!”

DEMOCRATS ARE THE REAL RACISTS PDF  | Print |  E-mail

By Frances Rice

Confident they will suffer no condemnation by the liberal media, Democrats routinely engage in rank racism toward black Republicans, calling them “sellouts”, “House Negroes” and worse.

This racist name calling is the despicable tactic Democrats use to demean black Americans who do not toe the liberal agenda line and keep blacks corralled on the Democratic Party’s economic plantation.

Race-baiting to garner the black vote is a key component of the re-election campaign of President Barack Obama.  He remained silent when his VP, Joe Biden, shamelessly played the race card while speaking to a largely black audience in Danville, Virginia, saying about the Republican candidates: “They're going to put y’all back in chains”.

MITT ROMNEY DELIVERS REMARKS AT THE NAACP CONVENTION PDF  | Print |  E-mail

Boston, MA â€“ Mitt Romney today delivered remarks at the NAACP Convention in Houston, Texas. The following remarks were prepared for delivery:

Thank you, Bishop Graves, for your generous introduction. Thanks also to President Ben Jealous and Chairman Roslyn Brock for the opportunity to be here this morning, and for your hospitality.  It is an honor to address you.

I appreciate the chance to speak first – even before Vice President Biden gets his turn tomorrow.  I just hope the Obama campaign won’t think you’re playing favorites.

You all know something of my background, and maybe you’ve wondered how any Republican ever becomes governor of Massachusetts in the first place.  Well, in a state with 11 percent Republican registration, you don’t get there by just talking to Republicans.  We have to make our case to every voter.  We don’t count anybody out, and we sure don’t make a habit of presuming anyone’s support.  Support is asked for and earned – and that’s why I’m here today.

With 90 percent of African-Americans voting for Democrats, some of you may wonder why a Republican would bother to campaign in the African American community, and to address the NAACP.  Of course, one reason is that I hope to represent all Americans, of every race, creed or sexual orientation, from the poorest to the richest and everyone in between.
